Turn the bag inside out through this gap. Tuck the inner bag and iron the entire piece. Topstitch around the top of the bag to close the gap.

I work to the half a centimeter rule, but you could go for and 1/8th of an inch, or even as much as a 1/4 if you wanted! So go and have fun, and make some layered cards!
