When they came out with the removable carry hand the rear sight was a tad higher then the fixed handle. So rather then reduce the carry handle height they decided to just use a front sight that was a tad higher. WebJan 10, 2024 · A current production AR15A4 would probably have an F-height FSB, but it just wouldn’t be marked as such. However I don’t know if Colt is even producing the A4 rifles now. So an A4 that you find, with no F mark is probably more likely to be an older rifle with an actual Non-F FSB vs a new rifle with an F-FSB that simply isn’t marked. The center post needs to be 5mm and you are nearly dead nuts, maybe 1 or 2 notches either way for a zero. .040 = 1mm.
